British Library: Living Knowledge

British Library quite young. Formed as a separate entity in 1972, the same decade as Microsoft and Apple. First and primary aim is as custodians of the national collection. Have about 200-250 million items. Collection grows by about 12km and 8Tb per annum. 16,000 people use their collections every day.
